Future Resilience and Development Foundation (FRAD Foundation) is a registered non profit organization with the Corporate Affairs Commission under CAC No CAC/IT/NO/139393 in 2019 in accordance with Nigerian law. The organization operates from House No 55, Mandau Street, Bulumkutu Abuja, Maiduguri, Borno State. FRAD focuses on building community resilience through humanitarian and early recovery interventions. The organization invests in staff capacity building and strong quality assurance systems to improve program performance and accountability to donors and communities.
FRAD Foundation implements humanitarian and early recovery programs across North East and North West Nigeria. The organization maintains strong commitments to Accountability to Affected Populations, protection mainstreaming, and community participation. As part of its commitment to quality programming, FRAD continues to strengthen its Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning systems. These efforts include improving data management, monitoring systems, and community feedback mechanisms.
To strengthen the MEAL system and build young professionals with practical skills in monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and data management, FRAD seeks to recruit a MEAL Intern to support the MEAL team in monitoring activities, data management, reporting, and community accountability processes.

Purpose of the Position
The MEAL Intern will support the MEAL team in implementing monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning activities. The intern will assist in data collection, documentation, data entry, analysis support, and community feedback tracking. The role will provide practical learning experience in humanitarian monitoring systems while supporting program teams to maintain high data quality and accountability standards.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
• Support data collection activities such as household surveys, focus group discussions, key informant interviews, and field observations.
• Assist in registering and documenting community feedback and complaints received during field activities.
• Support data entry, data cleaning, and data verification using tools such as KoboToolbox and Excel.
• Assist in organizing beneficiary records and monitoring databases.
• Support the compilation of activity data for monthly and quarterly program reports.
• Assist in preparing simple charts, tables, and summaries for internal reports.
• Support monitoring visits to project sites and document field observations.
• Assist the MEAL team during baseline, midline, endline, and post distribution monitoring assessments.
• Support documentation of lessons learned, success stories, and monitoring findings.
• Assist in organizing project data and documentation within internal filing systems.
• Support community awareness on feedback channels and accountability mechanisms.
• Promote respectful communication with community members and beneficiaries.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and comply with organizational policies.
• Support program teams in strengthening accountability and community engagement practices.
Performance Measurement
The MEAL Intern will be assessed based on:
- Accuracy and completeness of data entry and documentation
- Timeliness in completing assigned tasks
- Quality of support provided during monitoring activities

Required Qualifications, Experience, and Skills (Minimum)
• Recent graduate or final year student in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related fields.
• Basic understanding of data collection and monitoring processes.
• Basic knowledge of Excel and digital data collection tools such as KoboToolbox is an advantage.
• Strong interest in humanitarian work and monitoring systems.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse communities.
• Proficiency in English. Knowledge of Hausa or Kanuri is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
• Internship, volunteer experience, or academic research related to community work or data collection.
• Basic knowledge of humanitarian principles and accountability standards.
