On Monday our Executive Director Ibrahim Ishaku welcome the #ZOA Team led by the Program Manager and Albashir Ishaq Ibrahim The Digital skills specialist leading the Digital skills project In Borno and Yobe. FRAD Foundation welcome the delegation to our IT HUB in Maiduguri where we provide digital skills training to Youths including women and girls. The visit was for Corita Corbijn The Peacebuilding Specialist from #Netherland to have an insight of The European Commission funded Project providing inclusive access to digital skills to women and girls in conflict affected areas in Borno and Yobe.
Ibrahim IshakuIbrahim Ishaku took out some time to explain to the team some of the various initiatives we are working on in FRAD FoundationFRAD Foundation to scale up the project impact to other locations and to persons with #disability.
The visit was an interesting moment of Interactions with learners at the HUB where we get to listen to students impact stories how the digital skills training is making impact and what they intend to use the acquired skills after graduation.
While the facilitator was facilitating the training, It was interesting to know it was a learning session too to Corita Corbijn when she said her key take away was that she has learnt how to password her excel sheet, something she never new she could do that.
Digital inclusion is not an option but a necessity for #women and girls as it increase their protective factors and opportunities, lets unite and support Digital skills inclusion.
